Scope and Objective of ECDIS Type Specific Course

The ECDIS Type Specific course is meticulously designed for Deck Officers, enabling them to gain the necessary knowledge and hone the skills essential for the secure operation of a designated ECDIS during watch-keeping, aligning with STCW and ISM regulations.

Functioning from a remote location, the officer has the capability to directly engage with the live ECDIS, leveraging its complete array of functions and controls. This dynamic training approach ensures a comprehensive understanding of ECDIS operation while promoting adherence to regulatory standards.

Target Audience

Eligibility for the ECDIS Type Specific course is extended to Deck Officers who already possess a generic ECDIS certificate, ensuring a smooth progression to specialized training for specific ECDIS models.

Documents Required

For a smooth registration process on the first day of the course, kindly ensure you bring the following documents:

Two passport-size photographs
Copies of your passport, CDC, CoC, and INDOS (as applicable)
Additionally, present your Generic ECDIS Certificate for verification purposes.
